Outfit of the Day: Camo Combo

Jacket: Vintage, Hat, Necklace & Jumper: H&M and Skirt: Primark

Hello,

Doesn't this skirt look like leather, yeh?...well I think it does, anndddd it's not! It's some effect I do not understand and has this light pattern printed onto it, just lovely - and it's burgundy, oh sorry 'oxblood'...love that, it's burgundy but oxblood does just sound so much better doesn't it!Sorry for my lack of posts this week, managed to slip down some steps and twist my ankle on the weekend and haven't been wearing anything that's tight on the ankle due to the fat leg issue, not so fashion fantastic! Back now though. Hope everyone is starting to have a lovely festive time.

Outfit of the Day: (Un)Twee Tweed = Boucle.

Jacket: MuuBaa, Top: DIY, Skirt: Oasis via eBay & Belt: Primark

Hello,

Before 2012 on the whole, for me,  tweed meant - countryside, old posh men, flat cap and all of that (couldn't resist the rhyme!)...but not anymore, bring on boucle. I like having a formerly unknown texture to work with, to mix into my wardrobe. And to ensure no move toward 'twee' is made I've added the fail safe combo of studs and biker leather. If I had been good enough to take a shot that included my feet (duh - in my defence you then end up with too much of my little cramped room in the shot), you would see I'm wearing my Office studded buckle boots to add to the contrast, oh well...at least I said it, right?!

Outfit of the Day: A Sweater is Better

Hat: H&M, Bomber Jacket: Vintage, Jumper: Primark, Shirt: New Look, Necklace: H&M, Jeans: H&M & Bag: Vintage

Hello,

I know this sweatshirt is kinda plain (though I do love a bit of grey marl!) and boring in contrast with all the incredible ones around - but you see I just can't decide which of the cool ones to get, I have to find the perfect one...obviously!

In the past I've always shied away from sweatshirts as they've felt too sporty for my style, but they really have had a re-vamp and come in all shapes and sizes this season. I enjoy the wonderful influence of street style and bloggers in fuelling fashions love of unexpected combinations and mixtures, which has lead to a much more varied wardrobe on my part - specifically the influence of some awesome swedish/danish bloggers has fuelled my interest in the more casual, androgynous look, sporty. Occasionally I feel a little disconnected from what I used to associate my 'style' as being, but mostly I enjoy the much broader possibilities and purchases. Now I just need to whittle all the options down and find the perfect jumper, I quite fancy a tiger or a lion maybe...any suggestions?

Outfit of the Day: Lots of layers, but no bulk.

Coat: Vintage, Jumper: Primark, Belt: Primark, Dress: Urban Outfitters & Bag: Vintage

Hello,

Sorry for my absence, I've been suffering from "ooooh it's so cold I'm going to stay in bed and run out of time before work" syndrome, along with the occasional smidge of "I'll just put on that nice snuggly jumper today instead...". So hurrah, something warm via lots of smaller layers (there is a leotard posing as a vest underneath this!) to keep me warm but not looking like a bulky michelin man!

All of the day and all of the night.

Coat: Topshop (via Roman Road Market), Top: ASOS, Body (underneath): Topshop, Jeans: H&M & Hat: H&M

Triple colour nails - branching out!

Coat: as before, Shirt: Zara, Skirt: Primark & Bag: Primark

Hello,

Today my parents launched their new business - a perfect opportunity to play grown up and dress up smart (and showcase this new coat)! Apologies that the coat looks black in the second set of photos, it is as you can see in the first a lovely midnight blue. I just got in and I'm knackered so not going to say more...this is what I wore today (paisley - yum) and tonight!

Outfit of the Day: Winter Brights.

Jacket: Zara (my flatmates!), Shirt: Primark, Skirt: H&M, Backpack: Urban Outfitters, Hat: H&M & Collar Tips: eBay

Hello,

It was dreary and rainy today so I decided to counter this by adding some colour and neon to my outfit. I loveeee this jacket, unfortunately it doesn't actually belong to me, it belongs to my flatmate..ahh the joys of living with friends whose wardrobes become your wardrobe! Boucle with an edge and denim to give it a bit of androgyny, I wanted to avoid looking too smart, too done. Did end up getting totally soaked in the rain though...

Outfit of the Day: Winter Layering.

 Gold tipped midnight nails!

Jacket: MuuBaa, Shirt: Primark (flatmates!), Breton: H&M, Trousers: Topshop via eBay, Bag: Roman Road & All jewellery: eBay.

Hello,

Today I enjoyed the opportunity given with cold weather of layering up and wearing lots of clothes! The two exciting items for me are these trousers I found on eBay, loving the autumnal yet bright print and THE BAG. There is this market near where I live in Mile end that has lot's of wholesale items from high street shops at seriously reduced prices - this bag was a mere £18, making for a very happy Kate.

Inspiration: Everything I Love

All images from stockholm streetstyle.

Here are some wonderfully fashionable ladies whose style has inspired me recently. I really love streetstyle blogs, they are the ones I check the most! All the pictures here are as I said from stockholm streetsyle, partly because it's a great blog and also because very kindly I am able to use the pictures. Others I would recommend include: The Sartorialist, Jak & Jil Blog, The Neighbourhood Watch, Street Peeper and The Street Fashion 5x Pro.

Moving on, I have titled this post ' Everything I Love' as these pictures encapsulate much of what I love about fashion, my favourite things within it: Pattern, Leather (that shirt!!) and a bit of a mash up, an unexpected combination (lady numero 4). Beautiful dedicated looks - yum.

Outfit of the Day: Flare Fix

Jacket: MuuBaa, T-shirt: New Look, Belt: Primark & Jeans: Gap (dyed navy)

Hello,

Trying out the old flares again today, giving them a bit of a grunge touch with studs and my old trusty wolf tee. Manage to steer clear of too much reminiscence of my teenage years by sticking to a retro feel, high waisted pair... anyone back in the game of flared denim? How do you wear yours?

Nail Art Attempt

Ok so I really admire the nail artists, but I didin't think I had the patience, resources or skill to be able to triumph in that particular area. But I thought I'd give it a go and this is my first attempt - a bit of an art deco inspired attempt of colours and triangles...yes its a little uneven, smudged and since this picture I went to bed and somehow smudged it more (?!). Hopefully take two will be even better!

p.s. Yes I agree my hands look mammoth here, but they are normal sized - honest!
